The Newborn Experience
Trust me, as a mom I know how quickly they grow and change. From their tiny toes, their wispy hair, and their adorable body rolls, you will want to remember this short stage of their life forever.
When you book a newborn session with me, I do my best to capture all those little details: eyelashes, lips, fingers, and toes. But I also want to capture the incredible love that the whole family feels when they welcome a new member into it. My newborn sessions are a combination of lifestyle images between the whole family and the baby in the comfort of your home, as well as posed pictures of just the baby. You will have a beautiful variety of both to look back on and cherish, so you will never forget how little they were.

I recommend reaching out during your second trimester of pregnancy so I can guarantee that I have a spot for you on my calendar. Send me a message through my website contact form so we can chat about what you want for your newborn session. I will give you all the information you need to know before you book your session, including everything that I offer and how the entire process works. I am here to serve you from the time you reach out to way after you receive your photos and artwork.
1. Say Hello
Hooray, you've decided to book your newborn session with me! We will pick a date on a weekday morning within 2 weeks after your due date and I will send you a newborn session agreement and an invoice for the retainer to hold your date on my calendar. Once that has been signed and the retainer is paid your due date is officially booked!
(Please note that the date we choose is tentative and can be moved earlier or later depending on when your baby is born.)
2. Schedule it
After your session is booked, I will send you my Newborn Session Guide that includes a guide on how to best prepare your home and your family for your newborn session. Moms have access to over 20 beautiful, flattering dresses in my Client Closet to choose from for their session. Style recommendations for the whole family are included in the Session Guide as well
Once your baby is born we will adjust the tentative session date as needed to best accommodate the baby's age and our schedules.
3. Planning it
I will come to your home with all my newborn props on your session date and be ready to capture some magic. The Newborn Session Guide that I send out after booking your session date includes instructions on how to prepare your home and your family for the day of the session. If you have a specific request for a few images I am more than happy to accommodate those as well.
4. Your Session
Within 3 weeks after your session date, I will send you an online gallery of edited images. You can choose the ones you love or purchase additional images - whatever you prefer! I also have an online store connected to the gallery where you can order high-quality heirloom photo products to hang on your wall or gift to your loved ones. Don't let your memories sit on a hard drive on your computer or hidden in a drawer. If you need help on what products or sizes would look best in your home, I am here to be your guide!
5. Your Photographs

Newborn Sessions include a 2-3 hour in-home session with lifestyle photos of the family & baby as well as posed & styled photos of baby only. Newborn props and outfits are provided and moms have access to dresses from my Client Closet to wear during the session. A Newborn Session Guide is also provided to help you style outfits for the family as well as prepare your home for the session.
